Greetings from Tucson!
Unlike some who have complained about our late posting, one of whom hasn't posted since January 3rd, here is a very current update.
We were surprised 3 days ago with a call from Mark & Sue Didelot who we first met in Red Bay. They were near Tombstone and were going to surprise us in Benson but we had left the day before. Anyway, they were there with our friends from San Antonio, Connie & Manuel Esparza and Richard & Patsy King, who we missed meeeting in Red Bay. They were coming to Tucson and wanted to have dinner with us.
They met us at our RV Park, after following my really good directions, and I made Old Fashioneds for the ladies and naturally one for myself. We then went to the Outback for dinner and later to Trader Joes to stock up on food. We had a great time. This is the first Trader Joe's we've been to in many, many months, as there aren't many in the East.
It was really nice meeting Richard & Patsy. All of them are headed for Quartsite, AZ and we hope to hook up with them in our travels.
It's really fun meeting up with fellow RVers while we travel.
We will be heading for our time share on Saturday and will be there for 2 weeks - part of the time with my sister Kathy and her husband Al. We'll have a toilet we don't have to flush with our foot! And a real bed and a real shower!! Woo hoo!
Our Prince of Tucson RV Park leaves a little to be desired. The spaces are very narrow and we can reach out our windows on each side and shake hands with our neighbors thru their windows. I have attached some pictures.
We do have some exciting news. We are going to be Workampers from May 1 through October this year. We decided to extend our time RVing. About a week ago we sent our resume to 4 places and 2 days ago we received a call and they hired us. We will be working at the Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort about 15 miles south of Moses Lake in Eastern Washington. We'll let you know what we end up doing. Check out their web site at: http://www.sagehills.com/
